In reading the following, I invite readers of all backgrounds – be they atheist or of other religions – to ponder the considerable and weighty evidence for the God-given origin of the Bible and the Messiahship of Jesus.
In particular, I hope that Jewish readers might look back at their original Hebrew scriptures and think about whether Jesus fulfilled enough of the dozens of prophecies Isaiah spoke. —————————————– Its contents have been found to be more than 99% exactly the same as our modern Bible’s Isaiah. That means that secular science has proven that the book of Isaiah – with all its Messianic prophecies included – was completed at the very least 122 years before Jesus fulfilled its prophecies by being born to a virgin. The Messiah would have the full Spirit of God upon him.
Today I shall take you through the dozens of prophecies in the Old Testament book of Isaiah alone, foretelling the coming of the Messiah hundreds of years later… Although there are many more prophecies concerning the Messiah throughout the entire Old Testament, I choose to focus on those found in Isaiah.
I will demonstrate in three easy steps how: 1) The book of Isaiah is from at least 100~300 years before Jesus, 2) The book of Isaiah has many prophecies about the Messiah that the New Testmament states Jesus fulfilled, 3) Various evidence attests to the authenticity of the New Testament accounts of Jesus’ life. The Messiah would have the Spirit of Understanding.
Content Header .feed_item_answer_user .anon_user.logged_out . The Jews would have a hardened heart against the Messiah. The Messiah would have the Spirit of the Knowledge of God. The Messiah would have the Spirit of the Fear of God. The Messiah would have a quick understanding in the fear of the Lord. The Messiah would not judge on the basis of external representations. The Messiah would judge the poor with righteousness. [Jesus was crucified between two thieves, but after His death was given a tomb by the Pharisee Joseph of Arimathea] Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. [Jesus’ death was analogous to the Mosaic guilt sacrifice of animal life and blood, and He was ressurected and watches over His spiritual children] After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
